Martín Menem questioned the increase for deputies and senators: "If all people make an effort, the Legislative Branch should not be alien". The president of the Lower House disassociated himself from the 30% salary increase for legislators.
He assured that it is an "automatic" adjustment that has been in effect since 2011. With the increase, the deputies received a net amount of $2,174,887 for the month of February, to which must be added what is received for uprooting, which reached $464,090.29.
