Microsoft and OpenAI working on $100 billion data centers, new Stargate supercomputer also ready in 2028. The rapid rise of generative AI has led to a growth in demand for data centers capable of handling more advanced tasks than traditional data centers.

The new data center, likely financed by Microsoft which has already invested in ChatGpt, is expected to be 100 times more expensive than some of the largest existing data center. While, the Stargatesupercomputer would be based in the United States and would be more powerful than a series of supercomputers currently under construction.
