The impact caused massive damage to the front of the van and triggered the airbags in the driver and front passenger seats. An investigation into negligent bodily harm was initiated against the driver of the minibus who, according to the police, was responsible, a Polish professional driver. The road had to be cleaned by a special motorway maintenance vehicle because it was contaminated by leaking operating materials.
