Ministry: Promote dentists and pharmacies in rural areas. There is a risk of undersupply not only in rural regions, but also in Erfurt.
The reason is that dentists are retiring and cannot find a successor. For every unoccupied practice there would be an average of 1,680 seeking patients. The maximum funding amount has been increased from 20,000 to 40,000 euros. The branch support also applies to pharmacies and dental practices. 1.4 million euros would be available for the 2024 financial year.
