This followed a wildcat strike Wednesday after manufacturingunion FIOM briefed the workers on the company's stance over the layoffs. CEO Carlos Tavares said last week he cannot ensure the future of its Italian plants unless the carmaker gets major incentives to make electric cars. But Chairman John Elkann reiterated his commitment to the Italian plants in meetings Tuesday.
