French Netflix users will soon be forced to pay for their accounts. Users in the United States, France and a hundred other countries will no longer have the opportunity to share their accounts for free.
Deactivations will not follow a logic of region, seniority or regular use. The American entertainment giant expects a mood movement of subscribers with a one-off leak followed by growth over the coming months once the fever subsides. The company wanted to give time to the owners of the accounts to clean up the devices that benefited from free accounts.
