The community of Pullach has been working on a new youth leisure center for years. For years, the CSU, WiP and FDP have found the plans oversized.

Now a decision has been made. The administration and architect have cut the building by five meters and removed storage rooms for the community. Now the preliminary planning has been approved by the local council with a vote of 12:6 after endless preliminary rounds.. Around 100 listeners, children and young people from the football club, some in jerseys, scouts, leisure center visitors, as well as parents, coaches and the leisure center team came. “We want this to be built,” said a boy of about seven. Every now and then the visitors clapped when a local councilor spoke out in favor of the project. Until Mayor Susanna Thousandfreund (Green Party) banned clapping. In the meantime, because the discussion lasted two hours, some of the children had left. The project is now on paper at 11.4 million euros.
