Not just King Charles: These members of the Royal Family fought against cancer. King Edward VII, who ruled the British Kingdom from 1901 to 1910, already had basal cell carcinoma (a type of skin cancer), which was operated on in 1907 using radium from his nose.

In 1901, Princess Victoria – the daughter of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert – died of breast cancer at the age of 60. In January 2024, the Duchess of York announced her second cancer diagnosis, which was discovered to be malignant melanoma.
