Nuremberg bratwurst in court: manufacturer is said to have violated regulations. Nuremberg sausage manufacturers are suing a Lower Bavarian competitor – its “mini grilled sausages” are said to look too similar to the Nuresmberg original.
The dispute will take place before the Munich I Regional Court on Tuesday, March 12th, this year. The name “Nuremberger Bratwürste’ is a “protected geographical indication” – a regulation that the Lower Bavaria sausage producer sees no violation of, says the court.
