One person pushes another onto the subway tracks in New York: faces murder charges. The attack at a busy East Harlem station came the same day the city's police department announced a new operation to beef up security at the stations.
The victim, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene. Despite a recent increase in crime reports in the subway, serious crimes there fell almost 3% from 2022 to 2023. During March there has been an overall decrease (15.5%) in crime in the Subway.
