A 35-year-old Jewish man was stabbed on Monday February 12 in the 14th arrondissement of the capital. The Paris public prosecutor's office opened an investigation for "attempted murder due to religion" The victim and his wife were walking rue de la Tombe-Issoire, around 6:30 p.m., when an individual threw himself at him and stabbed him six times in the back.

The assailant was tackled to the ground by the victim before fleeing. The suspect was arrested by the anti-crime brigade (BAC) at his home. He was drunk at the time of the incident.
