The city of Penzberg held two mobility days on April 13th and 14th. Instead of cars, there were clubs, municipal utilities and bicycle dealers there.

The economic development agency would definitely like to see a continuation of the mobility days. The city had previously estimated around 6,000 visitors for the two days. But on the Monday afterward, a satisfied business developer couldn’t estimate how many there actually were in the wonderful weather. “The weather was a bit too nice,” said Monique van Eijk, the city’s economic development officer. She received positive reactions from the exhibitors. They were “very satisfied” and had “good discussions”. But whether the initial contacts really turn into business “will only become clear in a few weeks’ time”, she said. If the city gives “Tormoment” again in 2025, van Eijk would definitely want to consider using the city square again for carless participants.
