The sixth day of conflict between CGT garbage collection agents and the Perpignan Méditerranée Métropole local authority did not help to ease the situation. Two sequences of negotiations, including one lasting 90 minutes this Tuesday afternoon, did not make it possible to move forward on the demands.
“We are not going to block trash collection and transform our city into an open-air dump for the sake of meal tickets,” says Aziza Achlouj, spokesperson for the CGT.
