Pirelli aims for Net Zero in 2040, the first tire in the world. The group wants to become the first company in the tire sector to reduce the absolute emissions of Scope 1, 2 and 31 greenhouse gases by at least 90% compared to the reference year 2018.
By 2025 all factories globally will use 100% of renewable electricity. By 2030, 75% of vulcanization presses will be electrified. In line with the commitment to safeguarding the forestry heritage from which the natural rubber derives, from the 2024 season it will introduce the FSC certification on all tires produced and used in F1.
