Suspects said to include well-known names in localcriminal and political circles. They include Tommaso 'Tommy' Parisi, a singer and son of the Japigia district boss Savino, who has already been sentenced to eight years for mafia association at first instance, and former regional councilor and lawyer Giacomo Olivieri, who have both been remanded in custody.
