A 34-year-old resident of Tel Aviv pretended to be a cancer patient and a 13th Fleet fighter in front of his partner and her family members. Her parents recruited their friends from the United States and managed to raise thousands of shekels, which he allegedly used for his personal needs.
The Fraud Division of the Tel Aviv District Police received a complaint against the suspect for pretending to his partner that he needed donations for himself and the unit in which he serves. At the end of the investigation, the suspect was placed under house arrest.
