Deutsche Bahn and the railway and transport union EVG want to negotiate again from 12 June. The union is currently negotiating with dozens of railway companies for higher wages and salaries for a total of 230,000 workers.

The focus is on negotiations with DB, where a good 180,000 of these employees work. In negotiations at the end of May in Fulda, the railway had promised a gradual twelve percent increase in the lower wage groups. The EDC rejected this offer. The planned meeting on June 12 is expected to take place in Berlin.
