Rebirth of a VW icon: sports coupe is to return as an electric car. VW is apparently considering a new edition of the legendary Scirocco sports couppe.
According to Autocar, the Wolfsburg-based company is examining a comeback of the classic as anElectric car, which could be launched in 2028. The project is said to have been initiated by Volkswagen boss Oliver Blume. The SciroCCo first came onto the market in 1974 as a spacious coupé version of the VW Golf.
