Nigerian chef Hilda Afyong Bassey is aiming to break the Guinness World Record for consecutive cooking. She has prepared 100 separate meals aimed at showcasing the winning dishes of Nigerian cuisine.

The current record belongs to chef Latte Tondon from India, who stood in front of the pots for a full 87 hours and 45 minutes. The Guinness World Records Committee is currently examining whether Besey meets all the criteria necessary to hold the world record."My motivation to do this is to put Nigerian food on a map. The more publicity our recipes get, the more people around the world will want to try it," she said.
