Security forces stepped up security Tuesday evening at the Tomb of Joseph compound in Nablus. Several violent rioters opened fire at the forces, who responded with crowd control measures.

The disturbances that developed there also included throwing IEDs, throwing stones and placing obstacles on the exit road. According to Palestinian reports, a young man was shot dead by IDF fire. The identity of the shooter, or shooters, is not yet known. The head of the Samaria Council called on worshippers arriving at the compound to enter only in coordination with the IDF.
