Rockfall thunders on Italy's Adriatic highway in the middle of holiday traffic - three cars hit. The heaviest rock weighed 15 tons, fell onto the road and rolled down the central barrier.

Miraculously, according to telefriuli.it, no one was injured. The highway was closed in both directions. Excavators cleared away the chunks and the guardrail was repaired. The rockslide was caused by the weekend's storms. Violent floods and mudslides raged everywhere between Montblanc and Friuli.
