Ruin in the Sauerland was once the center of power in Westphalia. As a biotope, it now offers endangered animal species a valuable habitat.

The castle has a history of almost a thousand years. It was shaped by many princes and architectural styles. Today only a few walls remain of Arnsberg Castle in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is located 256 meters above the city of Schlossberg, in the region of the same name.
