Söder's promise can hardly be kept: Only 267 out of 10,000 affordable apartments were built in Bavaria. 12 projects are under construction between Ansbach and Ruhpolding, which corresponds to a total of 1,762 residential units.
There are 28 projects with several thousand residential units in the planning and preparation phase. Despite delays, Construction Minister Christian Bernreiter sees BayernHeim on a successful path: by the end of 2023, almost 8,400 apartments would have been launched.
