American Airlines Flight 271 made a 'hard landing' on the island of Maui. Several crew members and one passenger were injured in the incident.
The passengers were taken to a hospital before being released a short time later. The Federal Aviation Administration announced that it would investigate the landing. The incident took place on an Airbus A320 plane, which had 167 passengers and seven crew members on it at the time of the incident, at the end of which the plane landed in order to undergo service and safety checks.
