Olaf Scholz (SPD) has expressed satisfaction with the atmosphere of the refugee summit with the prime ministers. Decision on permanently higher federal funds for refugee costs is to fall at the next regular meeting in November.
"I think this is a good day of German federalism that we have today," says the German Chancellor. It is good for democracy to develop solutions together, he adds. The meeting was "constructive and good", says the SPD Chancellor. The refugee summit was held in the Chancellery in Berlin on Wednesday.
