Andrea Antico, one of the three former comrades of Emanuele Scieri accused of the murder of the 26-year-old Sicilian paratrooper from Folgore, found dead in the Gamerra barracks in Pisa on 16 August 1999. Prosecutor Luigi Bocciolini had asked for Antico to be sentenced to 17 and a half years.

The prosecution however abandoned the appeal, due to the statute of limitations, for two other defendants. Enrico Celentano and Salvatore Romondia, accused of aiding and abetting, were also acquitted in the first instance.
