Bremen government and the CDU parliamentary group agreed on a so-called special fund to restructure the economy. Initially, up to 450 million euros will be invested, as Prime Minister Andreas Bovenschulte (SPD) said in the town hall.
The fund will provide money for the renovation of the Bremen steelworks. It is planned that comparatively climate-friendly steel will be produced there in the future. At least two thirds of the members of Parliament would have to agree.
