Shooting in the New York subway: one dead and several injured by gunshot. No arrests have been made and the murder weapon has not been found.
The station is located in the Bronx at the intersection of Mount Eden and Jerome avenues. Video taken from television news helicopters showed a subway train stopped at the station and orange cones on the platform. The shooting occurred around 4:38 p.m. A police spokesman could not immediately say how many people were shot, the extent of their injuries or whether anyone was detained.
