The smugglers, who were unfamiliar with the area, were obviously soaked and hypothermic. It turned out that initial care for the frozen people on site was sufficient and further treatment in a hospital was not necessary. For the entire smuggling, which would have led in stages via Turkey and Slovenia to Germany, the smuggling organization would have charged several thousand US dollars per person.
