Nearly 3,500 people slept in the streets of Paris during the last Solidarity Night at the end of January. In 2023, 3,015 homeless people were counted.

The 16% increase corresponds to 477 additional people. The number of homeless people had fallen significantly during the Covid-19 health crisis “due to an increase in the number of accommodation places, their number has been increasing again since 2023” For Solidarity Assistant Léa Filoche, “it is a clear alarm signal which must wake up the government to put the question of accommodation at the heart of its priorities”
