In some cases, gusts of up to 170 km/h could even occur. The snow is expected to fall in the early hours of the morning not only in the Alps, but also in the southern Bavarian Forest. An emergency accommodation in Castrop-Rauxel had to be evacuated due to the current weather conditions. The almost 1,000 refugees were accommodated in the nearby Europahalle.
