Street naming controversy: SA member as namesake. Community is now planning a historical reappraisal.

Wilhelm Burkhardt, who was briefly mayor of Allersberg in 1945, was a member of the violent storm troop SA during the Nazi era. The community in Middle Franconia would like to use an expertise to examine the history of Burkhardt during theNazi era and that of the community. It is not yet clear when the report will be ready. The local council will make a decision about the renaming as soon as the results of the approved report are available.
