The sub-committee of the National Council for Planning and Construction recommended approving four new settlements and one settlement for the Bedouin population. These are five rural settlements that will be established in the Arad Valley, north of Highway 31 and on both sides of Highway 80.
The residents of the settlements will consume all their services in the city of Arad and thus strengthen the city's economy and educational institutions. The approval of these settlements joins the nearby city of Kasif at the Tel Arad junction, which was approved in November 2022.
