Sunstroke and dehydrated: 50-year-old falls at Watzmann-Hocheck. Rescue operation was difficult due to strong winds.
Ramsau mountain rescue service and Traunstein rescue helicopter had to rescue the man. He was dehydrated and had suffered several falls due to sunstroke and slipped across a snowfield, injuring his ankle and losing a crampons and both poles. Eight mountain rescuers were on duty and on standby until 7:45 p.m.
