Mohammed Taramiz, a man in his 30s from um al-Fahm, was shot dead on Thursday on one of the city's main streets. Medical officials who arrived at the scene gave him initial medical treatment and evacuated him to HaEmek Hospital in Afula, in critical condition and performing CPR.
Medical teams at the hospital later pronounced him dead. This was the second murder in the city in about 50 hours, which took place just as the funeral of the previous murdered man, Mohammed Aref Zhao, was taking place.
