Andrea Boutz started playing chess at the age of six and followed in the footsteps of her older sister, chess champion Alexandra Boutz. Her success in the conservative game along with her appearance greatly increased her popularity on social networks.
She took a break from playing and also from social media until a month after the loss she uploaded a picture of herself sad next to a chess board and wrote: "It took me a month to overcome the embarrassment after the lost to the 11-year-old"
