The attorney general of Venezuela confirms the arrest of two opponents for planning the assassination of Nicolás Maduro. The detainees are part of the political organization La Causa R and were arrested in the city of Maturín.
According to the prosecutor, the attempts of these people to assassinate Maduro began in May 2023 and continued until today. Among the evidence found by the authorities is the publication of a threat in a WhatsApp status by Piña, which says that "in Maturin will be the death of Maduro"
