The big issue of "asylum" in Weilheim-Schongau: Around 120 representatives from municipalities are discussing this with the district office. There are a total of 3,500 places, including the thermal halls in Penzberg, Antdorf, Eglfing, Wessobrunn, Schwabsoien and Wildsteig.
The district office is still looking for space and rental properties. In 2024, two buses with 50 people each are expected to be distributed to the accommodations in the district.
