The place of Torah scholars is not up for debate. After Israeli society recognizes this, it will be possible to move forward to the real discussion: about the place of those who do not study in the IDF. There are many of them. Is the IDF prepared to accept them? Will the army be willing to guarantee that their ultra-Orthodox way of life will not being harmed?
