The referee of the match, Pablo Dóvalo, filed a criminal and civil complaint against the technical director of the Avellaneda club, Carlos Tevez. Tevez had accused the referee of "robbery" after the match between Barracas Central and Independiente.
The Argentine Referees Association had repudiated Tevez's statements. The lawyers of the union institution headed by Federico Beligoy advised Dóvalso and accompanied him to make the judicial presentation.
