Local authority elections are taking place today (Tuesday) in Yeruham and Eilat. The incumbent head of the council, Tal Ohana, will run for another term.

She will be faced by the person who also ran against her in the previous elections, Nili Aharon, who has the support of the Likud. At the same time, the incumbent mayor Eli Lankri will also try to win another term against no less than three candidates against him. Sources believe that the turnout in the city, which hosted most of the evacuees from the war, will not be particularly high.
