Both Hechendorfer Straße and Birkenallee in Herrsching are getting a new surface layer. Both roadways still need to be replaced and urgently.
The damage is now to be repaired with a so-called ceiling renovation. Work will probably take place in five construction phases from the Rieder Strasse intersection to the Rauscherstrasse intersection. The plan is to start during the Pentecost holidays or immediately afterwards. The construction site area will extend from the height of the bus stop to the end of house number 4. The local council's building committee approved ceiling renovation in both cases at its meeting on Monday. The municipality will have to cover the full costs of the upcoming work, which is expected to take place over the next few months. The work was coordinated with the water and wastewater company AWA, and other pipes ran under the sidewalk - “you never know” of course, no one is immune from burst water pipes like the one on Mühlfelder Strausse.
