The approval of the new cyber shield "comes at a crucial time for EU cybersecurity, as the threat landscape IT continues to be influenced by geopolitical events", warns the EU. The total budget for all actions envisaged by the legislative act is 1.1 billion euros, of which approximately two thirds are financed through the Digital Europe programme.
