The results of the local elections led to a series of changes in the staffing of women mayors throughout Israel. The outgoing mayor of Haifa, Einat Kalish-Rotem, suffered severe discrimination.

In Beit Shemesh, the incumbent mayor Aliza Bloch will go on to a second round against an opponent. In Netanya, Miriam Fierberg won again, but by a very small margin over her rival Avi Selma. In Kiryat Ono, candidate Rosenshein ousted the mayor who has been in office for a decade.
