The Government of Salta confirmed that it will charge foreigners for medical care. The measure, which was under analysis, was ratified by a DNU signed by the governor, Gustavo Sáenz.
As clarified, urgent or emergency care is guaranteed. The document provides that health care for foreigners in cases of urgency or emergency, whatever category they fall into, may not be denied or restricted because it is a humanitarian issue. Meanwhile, the provincial State will subsequently arbitrate the necessary means to collect the expenses incurred.
