The Government postponed the implementation of the new Criminal Procedure Code in Rosario until May 6. Prosecutors ask for employees and equipment for new tasks against drug traffickers.

The new code leaves investigations in the hands of prosecutors and not judges as it is until now. The Association of Prosecutors and Officials of the Public Prosecutor's Office of the Nation (AFFUN), chaired by Ricardo Toranzo, supported the measure but not its immediate implementation as Cúneo Libarona originally wanted. The president of the Court traveled to Rosario on Thursday to analyze the issue with the judges of the local Federal Chamber.
