The list of the best cooking and pastry schools in the world was compiled by Le Figaro. The list includes 33 of the world's most famous chefs.

The results were based on a survey of more than 1,000 people. The survey was carried out by the French magazine Le Monde and the French Academy of Culinary Arts. The result of the survey was published in the magazine's online edition, The Best Of The Best, which is published by Hodder & Stoughton at £16.99.
