At least seven members of the military wing of Al-Jama'a Al-Islamiya were killed in an air force attack. Since the beginning of the fighting on the northern border and in Gaza, the extremist Sunni organization has participated in several rocket barrages towards Israel.
Media outlets affiliated with Hezbollah claimed that the building of an Islamic aid and charity organization was attacked, but Israel said that the target was al-jamaa al-Islamiyya. Despite the ideological differences between it and the Shiite Hezbollah, they cooperate against Israel.
