The Incachaca dam, in La Paz, has reached its maximum levels. Rainfall is forecast to continue through the middle of this week.
Fearing the collapse of the dam, nearby residents have decided to evacuate voluntarily. At least three people have died in a landslide in the west of the country. Another 60 people have been affected by the loss of their homes. The situation has raised alert among the authorities, because rainfall is expected to continue until the end of the week.
