The Committee for the Advancement of the Status of Women and Gender Equality discussed the prevention of sexual violence in the evacuees' centers. The Ministry of Welfare revealed 75 cases of sexual assault that occurred in hotels as well as 80 cases of domestic violence.
"There were pimps who came to the entrances of evacuated hotels to take advantage of the situation," said the chair of the committee, MK Tamano Sheta. "We have to'mark' hotels with a violent atmosphere and climate," said MK Tamno Shata.
